AQUACULTURE
Despite the fact that along its entire length from north to south, the country is washed by the Mediterranean Sea and fish are caught in the sea, most of the fish production is produced in ponds and cages.
These are various types of freshwater fish, as well as valuable and exotic fish. For example, technology has been developed for growing such rare fish as an eel in cages.
The production of ornamental and aquarium fish is also widely developed and they are exported abroad. With regard to fish farming: Perhaps the most cost-effective option is to grow tilapia in ponds. The fish farm is also being created as a complete project, including a full complex from growing to transporting live fish for sale. See the photo. The ponds are equipped with aeration, feeding, and fish catching systems.
Pond farming. The project was carried out in Peru. Large fish farms are equipped with a full range of equipment for growing, and often with workshops for the primary processing of fish. Thus, the farm supplies to the market both fresh fish and processed and packaged frozen fish for supermarkets.
Processing plants include a butchery, a filling department, a refrigerator, and a finished product warehouse. Fresh fish, in special aerated containers, is delivered directly to shops, markets, and restaurants. The most suitable fish species for breeding in ponds are carp and tilapia.
For year-round cultivation, covered ponds are used. An arched film coating creates the necessary microclimate.
A more advanced cage system is used to raise valuable fish species. Such enterprises are more like factories or factories where a huge amount of fresh fish is produced year-round. These systems do not depend on the vagaries of the weather and work stably like a factory conveyor.
Our scientists have developed technologies for the cultivation of valuable fish products. In cages, with a strictly controlled microclimate and other technological parameters, valuable species of fish, shrimps, crayfish, and even exotic species such as eels are grown.
